      Our motor is speed-controlled and not torque-controlled. Obtained torque is a result of motor speed, process configuration, material viscosity and machine throughput.

    WOW ! ! ! That is impressive. Does anybody know, how the linear pulsing motion is controlled? Meaning, is it mechanical cam type system, or is this a hydraulic actuated, or even electromegnetically controlled, with real time location sensing feed back input? I would like to think, this linear motion pulsation is controlled mechanically. I couldn't imagine otherwise, for the idea that any measure of the feed screw having a slight misalignment that could lead to a catastrophic collision failure with the kneading elements or mixing pins with the any number of leading edges of the screw plains. I can see what an advantage this would be on finer control over all in control of color. But, purging to clean upon doing a color change from darker to a lighter color, might be a nightmare? I personally do not know and am just speculating. Dedicating a unit like this to one color for a long contract seems fitting and often times done. I can see this being faster, as well. likely, not as power hungry on the electric bill, due to how efficient and thorough the mixing is handled. Clever. I enjoyed this video. Well done.

      There's no interruption in the movement. The fins of the shaft are giving this optical illusion. These are pretty big motors used for the amount of torque that is required, which by any doubt cannot be used intermittently, due to their very bad efficiency and significant increased energy amount that is drawn when starting everytime.

      @@littlemadness221990 That sounds fair enough... But what is the mechanism or system that controls the linear motion of the shaft, forwards and backwards, or to say, reciprocation action. The rotation of the shaft is clear, but the back and forth of the shaft, how is that controlled in its exacting timing to aim in preventing the fins from colliding with the mixing pins? Yes, any of these type of motor's upon start up are horribly inefficient and once they are up to full speed RPM can the efficiency be met. Thank you.

      @@drubradley8821 What you're seeing is a section view. The 'pulsing' only occurs on a section plane. The screw rotates at a constant RPM, and the pitch on each blade/fin of the screw varies. It is nearly perpendicular to the shaft at the leading edge and at their trailing edge the pitch is greater and pushes the product forward.
